  SERTLIAN SARGIS (1880/83-1915) 

Born in Karin.From 1902-1910, he studied in the Medical Faculty of Paris University.
During 1910-12, he was specialized in ophthalmology. In 1912, he returned to Turkey.
During World War I, he served in the Ottoman army as a military doctor (ophthalmologist).
In 1915 in Yerznka, he requested the German Red Cross delegation to protect him from the Turks. But the German doctors handed him over to the Turkish authorities.
He was arrested and killed in the church.

  

  VEZNEIAN HARUTYUN (1875/83-1915) 

Born in the Hiuseynik village in Kharberd province. From 1900-07, he studied in the Royal Medical College of Constatinople.
In 1907, he left for New Haven (USA), where he trained as a surgeon. Later he returned toTurkey and continued to work in the Kharberd city.
During World War I, he served in the Ottoman army as a military doctor.
In 1915 he was arrested and killed.

 

 

 

  

  TAGHAVARIAN NAZARET (1862-1915) 

Born in the city of Sebastia in the Sebastia province. The real name is Chadrjian.
From 1869-78, he studied in Constatinople. From 1878-79 he studied in the Agrionomical School in Paris. From 1879-81, he studied in the National Agronomical Institute of France (Institut National Agronomique de France).
In 1883 he returned to Constantinople and worked in the Ministry of Agriculture. From 1887-93, he returned to France and studied in the Medical Faculty of Paris University. At the same time, he studied in Sorbonne University.
In 1902, he was awarded “Officier d’Academie” of France Ministry of Education and also the title of Academician.
In 1904 he was elected as a Honorary Member of Paris Astrtonomical Society. In 1908 he was back in Turkey, where he was elected as a Member of Parliament.
In 1915 with other 600 Armenian intellectuals he was arrested and killed.

  

  TER-HOVHANNESIAN HAKOB (1886/90-1915) 

Born in Eodemish (Cilicia).
From 1910-1914 he was a student at the Medical Faculty of Saint-Joseph University in Beirut.
In 1915 with 60 other Armenian intellectuals, he was taken prisoner in Zmyurnia and killed.

  

  TER-STEPANIAN ENTSAYEK (1892-1915) 

Born in Marash (Marash region) of Ottoman Empire.
In 1908, he graduated from the American “Saint Paul” college. In 1916, he graduated the Royal Medical College in Constantinople.
During World War I, he served as a military doctor.
In 1918, he returned to Marash.
In 1920 he was killed by the Turks.

 

 

  

  PASHAIAN KARAPET KHAN  (1864-1915) 

Born in Constantinople.In 1888, he graduated from the Royal Medical College in Constantinople as an Ophthalmologist.
In 1890 and later in 1892 he was put under arrest. In 1895, he left Tabriz (Persia), where he had been the personal doctor of the prince Mehmed Ali. From 1903 till 1906 he lived in Egypt, where he started and managed the printing house and weekly newspaper “Horizon”.
In 1907, he was back in Persia , where he was awarded the title of “Khan” and other honours, as well a “gold medal”. In 1908, he returned to Constantinople, where he was elected member of theOttoman Parliament.
In 1915, among 600 Armenian intellectuals he was taken prisoner and killed.

  

  PASHAPEZIAN HARUTYUN (1872-1922) 

Born in the city Sis in the Adana province.
In 1907, he graduated from the Medical Faculty of Saint-Joseph University in Beirut.
During World War I, he served in the Ottoman army as a military doctor.
In 1918, he returned to Zmyurnia and continued to work as a doctor.
In 1922, among many Armenians, he was taken prisoner and killed.                                                    

  

  PAPANIAN YEGHISHE (1875/77-1915) 

Born in Karin (Karin Region).
He graduated the pharmaceutical faculty of the Royal Medical College in Constantinople.        
In 1902, he owned and operated his own pharmacy.
In 1915, he was killed by the Turks.

 

    

  KESHISHIAN HMAYAK (1887-1915) 

Born in Marash (Marash region) in the Ottoman Empire.He was the younger brother of Vardan Keshishian.
Hmayak graduated from the high school of the American Missionaries.
In 1915, he graduated the Medical Faculty of the University of Constantinople.
During World War I, he served in the Ottoman army as a military doctor.
In 1915, he was killed by his Turk commander.

       

  KESHISHIAN VARDAN (1883-1915) 

Born in the city Marash (Marash region) in the Ottoman Empire.
He graduated from the high school of the American Missionaries, then “Saint Paul” college. In 1906, he graduated the pharmaceutical faculty of the Constantinople Medical University.
During the World War I, he served in the Ottoman army as a military pharmacist.
